The United States has won another WTO ruling against China over broiler chicken tariffs. This means that Beijing has failed in a bid to use punitive tariffs against U.S producers and now China will either have to comply with the ruling or appeal against the decision within 30 days. China’s measures to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on broiler products from the US have been determined to be wrongly calculated and implemented, according to a review by WTO panel. China’s ministry of Commerce has released an official statement saying “China expresses regret over the WTO ruling” and that China would take steps to assess the WTO report and carry out “follow-up work” in accordance with WTO rules.
