US President Donald Trump extended the waiver of sanctions against Iran for another 120 days and said that these will not be lifted again unless significant changes are made to the deal between them. The nuclear deal or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was made in 2015 whereby it was agreed by Iran to control its ongoing nuclear weapons programme in exchange for the sanctions lifted. The US President believes it to be a really bad deal, made under the presidency of Barack Obama whereby Iran gained access to more than a $100 billion which were used to administer terror and oppression rather than to improve the living standards of the Iranian people and he wants that the auxiliary agreement should allow immediate inspections of any of the Iranian sites by international investigators so that Iran never even comes close to possessing a nuclear weapon.
