Ola and Uber under competition commission probe over surge pricing

The Competition Commission of India has begun an investigation against Ola and Uber Inc. over surge pricing. As per a report published in Business Standard, these operators introduced surge pricing to regulate rider’s demands with Buyer’s supply at any given time. A study for the same will be carried out by the Ministry of Corporate affairs, as per an official from the ministry. Similar cases have been filed in the past by other cab aggregators, saying that these two firms have been twisting the market.
