Despite a speedy GDP rise, UK continues manufacturing in recession.

The warmer weather has helped UK’s economy to grow at a faster pace in the last three months. The Office for National Statistics(ONS) has claimed that the GDP has increased by 0.4% in the second quarter as compared to 0.2% in the first one. The service industry sector also experienced a good growth of 0.5% and was also beneficial to the wholesale sectors providing the strongest contribution. Studies and figures related to this showed the growing dependence of the UK on the EU. However, the head of Economics at the British Chamber of Commerce has bought into light that despite this growth there is not sufficient data to show a sustained upturn in the UK’s economic growth prospects.
