Bombardier wins the vote of the United States International Trade Commission

The United States (‘US’) International Trade Commission (‘ITC’) revoked the tariffs levied by the US Department of Commerce against the Canadian aircraft manufacturer, Bombardier. The suit was made by the American manufacturer, Boeing, that alleged that Bombardier dumped the aircrafts below cost. The clear implication of this decision would be that the 300% duties suggested by Trump’s administration will not apply to the C Series jets of Bombardier. Reports also suggest that this may further have a negative consequence on the ongoing negotiation of terms between US and Canada in the North American Free Trade Agreement.
